When a USA Team Speed Skating sponsor ran into financial trouble, Comedian Stephen Cobert stepped in and offered his Cobert Nation (audience) as a sponsor.

It is fun getting to know athletes and their events. Speed racing is fascinating, for example. Speed, balance, passing one another while skating at a 45 degree angle, hands almost touching the ice. The L.A. Times carried an article about Apolo Ohno's most recent Olympic medal (bronze this time) , "For Apolo Anton Ohno, it's seventh heaven".
Each evening, when I turn on the TV to see what's happening, there is Apolo! Each morning, when I open the newspaper, there he is again -- front page and sports section. Apolo is from Seattle, WA.
